One very strong color red betweeen human beings is that flows in the form of blood in all. Red has significant value in many aspects. One of the strongest aspect of Red is Life Energy that flows through our body. It is symbol of vibrancy. Red is Energy in other words Shakti. As Feminine nature gives birth to this Life Energy, it is named as Shakti. That's why Kumkum is applied.  Having said that, this feminine nature exists in all of us. In childhood it is high and gradually it depletes because of not able to maintain the energy. It is because of various reasons that the energy succumbs under the influence of external situations. But energy source is from within.
