Pune also known as oxford of east is not only famous for the education but also the uptown city lighten in nights by the young population in the city. A little more over a decade ago, it was known as a town for retirees. There has been dynamic changes in the city in terms of its image. Now it is well known for being an IT hub. I being a Puneiti, I have seen the lavish green Pune turning rapidly into concrete jungle. Even then the town surrounding with hills has the mixture of everything lingering around. One noticeable change is rise in temperature & a difference in humidity. Even though town has become crowded, the outskirts of the city remains the same.
Having said that, all the beauty, all the charm, huzzle muzzle is turned into a grave land. It's been more than 5 month's, Covid-19 has wrapped the entire world. In India most hit state is Maharashtra & Pune ranks second highest town. A popular Mall named as Amanora, is few steps away from my house. Adjacent to it is Tupe corner, which is a place for street food lovers like pani puri, momos, fast food, etc
Hundreds of people linger at this sport, mostly for a good tea & fag everday.
Few months ago, Large number of vehicles are parked to halt and have munch at Tupe Corner.
Lately, when I was viewing the spot from my terrace, it appeared as a abandoned land. There appeared only few stray dog's. The noisy place has turned into the horrifying noise of the wind.
"Staying inclusive; Letting go exclusive" is the new mantra one need to imbibe withing themselves. Only then one can stay joyful and happy.
